December 20th- December 24th

I can't believe that there is basically nothing on TV right now. It's the only thing I hate about the holidays.

Tabitha's Salon Take-Over: I honestly forgot that this show had started but I love it! It helps that she's from the UK. Just like every reality show, there is drama, and it usually comes in the form of an unruly stylist or uncaring owner. It is on Bravo! at 10pm Monday nights.

16&Pregnant: As always, they have to have a girl who considers adoption for their child in every season. This season, Ashley struggles with the choice. She is hoping her aunt and uncle will adopt her baby but she doesn't know whether or not it's the right decision.

*Friday Night Lights will be be back January 5th on Direct TV's The 101 Network*

December 13-December 17

The only show on this week is 16&Pregnant. That doesnt give me a lot to write about.
*Megan has a hard time getting her gamer boyfriend to help her out with just about anything.

My other fave shows are returning...
  • House: January 17th
  • Glee: February 6th
  • OTH: January 25th
  • American Idol: January 19th-20th
  • Secret Life of the American Teenager: Sometime in January. (As much as I hate this show, I have to watch to see what happens. It's like a car crash!)

Kayla (16&Pregnant)

I think that this has been my favorite episode so far this season. Kayla is a Southern belle from Alabama who does pageants, loves horses and even hunts. Her boyfriend/fiance J.R. works as a mechanic and because he doesn't make much, they haven't moved into their own place yet or gotten married. Both of their parents feel really strongly about them getting married before their little boy, Rylan, is born. Because of her pregnancy, she is no longer able to participate in pageants or go to UAB with all her friends to get her degree in nursing.

As much as she loves J.R., she is worried about moving out of her parent's house and he doesn't really seem to understand that. His parents offer his grandparent's house old house for them to live in, but only if they get married. During  a photo shoot that her mom arranged, J.R. proposed and now they not only have  baby to pay for, but a wedding and fixing up the house. Not long after, she starts having contractions even though she is 5 weeks early. When they arrive at the hospital, they find out that she is already 7cm dilated and thus Rylan Jayce is born.

Kayla takes a month off of school because she is so afraid of leaving little Rylan alone with anyone but her because he was premature. When she finally returns, she realizes that her and her friends have grown apart. All they are preparing for is prom and all she wants to do is spend time with Rylan. J.R. moves in with Kayla and her parents because they haven't moved out yet. She is still very hesitant about moving out and getting married, but is taking things one step at a time and making sure that all of her decisions are what's best for Rylan.

A Very Glee Christmas

The only part of the storyline that wasn't addressed in this is the official end of Finnchel. While Finn and Rachel are on the hunt for a new tree after Sue chopped theirs to bits, Rachel tries yet again to apologize. Finn decides that time is what will heal their relationship and officially breaks up with her. My heart was breaking the whole time but at the very end of the episode, the way they were looking at each other was the glimmer of hope that all us Finnchel 'shippers needed to survive through the hiatus.

December 6 - December 10 Shows

*This week, we have a lot of "Last new episode for a while" happening. Shows in which this will be occurring will be BOLD

Glee: Finn tries to bring a little Christmas spirit and Sue tries to rig the secret Santa. Dramalicious!

OTH: A hurricane hits Tree Hill and Brooke's life is in danger. Clay's creepy stalker that looks like his dead wife returns to terrorize Quinn.

16&Pregnant: I haven't seen a whole lot of what Kayla's story will cover, but she does like horses and her love seems to be a nice guy.

Ann Crowned Winner of Cycle 15

I did not get to watch the finale but I did see on The CW that Ann Ward is America's Next Top Model. I can't say I completely agree with this because I don't think she's pretty at all. I haven't watched but 2 or 3 episodes this season so I can't even say that she has a lack of talent. Nevertheless, congratulations!

Special Education (Glee) Overview

Sectionals here we come! Ok this episode was a very good exposé of the self-centered collective of people that New Directions has become this season. In switching up the typical set list of a Finnchel duet, Rachel solo and then upbeat group number the group was thrown  into a tailspin. Everyone was so worried about whether or not they'd be singing the solos that they forgot their purpose of being a team.

Santana, without reservations, finally revealed the truth of her and Finn's relations to Rachel. It's been a long time coming and we knew it had to be addressed but I wasn't looking forward to it. I am so in love with Finn and Rachel together but Rachel has become a mega-diva drama queen this season. I think their win at sectionals last year and the realization that she is one of the bigger stars of the group has gone to her head. They went to go see Emma in attempt to fix the cracks but when Rachel tells Finn that she made out with Puck to get back at him later in the episode, he breaks it off. Though I am heartbroken, it's for a good cause. To me their relationship has been just a little too good to be true so far and this was a good dose of reality. I don't anticipate it lasting long because of the way they were looking at each other during "Dog Days Are Over" (LOVE LOVE LOVE). They obviously love each other and their feelings are not just going to go away. *See season one*

In happier news, for some, Carl and Emma got married! They went to Vegas and got hitched while the club was away at sectionals. Obviously, Mr. Schue is not in love with this event but I think the Wemma ship has sailed. I mean, they are total opposites and while that screams "let's be together" to most people, I am not sold on why they like each other. It vaguely reminds me of Twilight. Eww, I just made a Twilight reference.

In any event, at sectionals the solo went to Santana with a lovely cover of "Valerie", a song I have never heard of but really like. The show opened with a very cute Sam+Quinn duet of "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life". Basically the same choreography of Finn+Rachel's "Faithfully" from regionals last season but who really notices that. During Santana's solo, Brittany and Mike got to stand in the spotlight with a very large dance number. The Warblers did a cover of "Hey, Soul Sister" which I think I would've enjoyed more if I hadn't played that song a hundred times for marching band. The show resulted in a tie between the two clubs which means they will both be going to regionals. Which makes sense so that Kurt will also get to go. Maybe by then he'll transfer back to McKinley.

November 30 through December 5

Glee: Sectionals this week! The club competes against the Dalton Academy Warblers (of which Kurt is now a member) and The Hipsters (old people who are trying to get their GED). Emma and Carl grow closer but some couples hit rough patches.

16&Pregnant: Christinna and her (maybe) baby daddy Isiah have drama over whether or not he is the father and being newlyweds.

OTH: Brooke and Julian go skydiving, while Haley sets up a concert at Tric featuring Kid Cudi. Meanwhile, Quinn sneaks out of town to visit a familiar face.

ANTM: It's finale time! Ann and Chelsey (my pick to win) face off in a Roberto Cavalli runway show.

*Soon, most of these shows will either be over or on hiatus so this may be a little empty in the coming weeks*

Aubrey (16&Pregnant) Overview

I actually felt a little sorry for this week's family in the making. They had good goals and hopes, but not a lot of ambition to get them accomplished. Aubrey and her baby daddy/husband live in Arizona and her parents are divorced so only her mom is around. She was having trouble keeping up in school so she dropped out. She and Brandon lived together on their own until he lost his job. They then moved in with her grandma because she was the only person who would take them in.

Because neither of them have jobs they are in debt and not really doing a whole lot to take care of it. Aubrey is trying to get on track to get her GED but since she has been out of school for so long, she isn't succeeding. Brandon finally gets a job as a mall security guard so they have a little bit of security themselves. Ha no pun intended. Aubry wants to help out and get a job as well, but Brandon would much rather her stay home and take care of their son. After 30 hours of labor, baby Austin Carter arrives. Though the family is excited, their grandma still wants them to move out soon.

Aubrey gets a job at a pizza place so now there are two incomes for the couple. They are currently working hard to get their own place and keep saving their money up. She feels like their relationship has grown stronger since the birth of their child. While Aubrey wishes she had stayed in school, she plans to start working hard to get her GED so she can go to college and help support their son.

Furt (Glee) Overview

Wedding bells are ringing! Burt and Carole are getting married! They told Finn in the middle of the hallway with Kurt in tow. Kurt takes it upon himself to plan out the whole thing and enlists New Directions to be the entertainment. Sue has also decided that she is going to marry herself. And officiate the ceremony. All at the same time. Yeah, I don't know how that's supposed to work either. Sam decided that he is in love with Quinn and gave her a promise ring. At first she didn't except, but he is waay too cute to say no to. But more on that later.

Sue's Nazi hunting mother returns home for her daughter's "wedding" and tries to make amends for being an absentee parent to both Sue and her sister, Jean. Sue attempts to reconcile, but Doris is continuously being critical to Sue. She eventually calls her a bully and disinvites her to the wedding while it is taking place.

Karofsky is still terrorizing Kurt so Rachel enlists the glee girls' football-playing boyfriends to confront him. Finn and Puck do not participate in said confrontation. Finn's reason is that he would like to continue winning football games and if Karofsky is mad at him, he'll get sacked on just about every play. Puck's is a little less self-centered in that he really doesn't want to go back to juvie. When Kurt and Karfsky (and their dads) meet with Sue to discuss the situation and the punishment, Sue says that the only thing that the school board can do is give him a verbal warning. Kurt is not satisfied with this and announces that he is going to transfer to Dalton Academy (where Blaine goes). Quinn is impressed with Sam's bravery and that is when she accepts his promise ring.

Finn is concerned with his dwindling popularity so Santana's tells him that he should just tell people about their secret (he lost his virginity to her back in season 1). He refuses to do so after learning that Rachel never slept with Jesse (also season 1) and telling her the truth would break her heart. At the wedding, He uses his best man speech to apologize to Kurt for not standing up for him. He vows that from now on, a new union has been formed, Furt (combo of their names), and that he will always be there for him.

Thanksgiving Week Previews

House: Science and faith are called into question when a patient is admitted to the hospital following his reenactment of the Crucifixion. The patient, Ramon Silva, refuses to undergo the prescribed treatment, and the team learns that after his daughter's cancer was cured, he pledged an oath of self-sacrifice to God. With little time to save Ramon's life, the team struggles to understand his reasoning and seemingly extreme religious convictions, but eventually learn that faith is not an argument.

Glee: Carole and Burt are getting married! Also, Sue's Nazi hunting mother returns home to pay a surprise visit to her daughter.

OTH: No new episode. But, they did get picked up for a full season!

ANTM: This week ANTM is doing a recap of all the most memorable moments so far this season. This is good for me since I have missed just about every episode due to work. Next week is the finale!

Friday Night Lights: I will also be home in time to watch this as well. I have to say, FNL is one of my favorite shows. Watching it reminds me how much I love the atmosphere that comes with a good football team and I hate that I have missed so much of it. There is no information anywhere on the web because it's exclusively on DirecTV right now. But, that means no commercials for me :)

I will actually be home in time to watch all of these so I will have a busy couple days posting their recaps. Thankfully, we break for the holidays tomorrow so I will have more time that I usually do.

The Substitute (Glee) Overview

Well in the spirit of flu season, both Figgins and Mr. Schue are both out. The most terrifying part about this is that Sue has been instated as the new principle. The lovely Gwenyth Paltrow is standing in for Schue as Spanish teacher and glee coach. We also see the re-appearance of Terri trying to win Schue back by nursing him back to health

Rachel is trying to take over the glee club in Mr. Schue's absence and Kurt is sick of it. Thus enter Holly Holiday as new glee coach. but not until after she was done talking about Lindsay Lohan and her numerous trips to rehab in Spanish. She changes things up a bit when she asks the kids what songs they want to sing. *Cue very rad performance of Cee Lo Green's "Forget You".*

Sue is using her power to try and disband the football team but after Beiste reminds her that her Cheerios won't have anyone to cheer for, she bans tater-tots instead. *Cut to Mr. Schue performing "Make 'Em Laugh" with Mike Chang in a dream sequence.*

Rachel is not in love with Holly and her teaching methods so she goes to voice her concers to Mr. Schue. Terri has said that she is moving on with her life but she is still trying to get back with Will. In his sickly state, they end up kissing and Terri thinks that it meant something when in reality, it was a mistake.

Kurt is setting Mercedes up on a date so that maybe she will forget about the lack of tots. But she doesnt want a lover, she wants tots. Aparently Rachel didnt hate Holly that much because they did a duet of "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag" from Chicago. *Love* Will returns to school but he is not completely healthy. And Sue fired Figgins! And Will! That leaves Sue as prnciple and Holly as Spanish/glee club teacher. This leads to a throwdown between Holly and Will about how the kids need to be able to express themselves through music.

Mercedes is in trouble for shoving tots up the tailpipe of Sue's Le Car. After careful consideration, Holly goes to visit Will to tell him that she is resigning. They talk about her "no consequences" lifesyle and how that makes her a bad choice as his replacement. Mercedes tags along on Kurt and Blaine's date and is relatively bored. Afterward, Kurt tells Mercedes that she is substituting food for love and Kurt for a boyfriend.

To close the episode, Mr. Schue wants to do a cover of "Singin' In The Rain". The kids are not thrilled with his song choice so he goes to Holly, who is subbing for a history teacher dressed up like Mary Lincoln, to help him modernize it. They end up putting it together with Rhianna's "Umbrella" and the performance was super cool.

Markai (16&Pregnant) Overview

This week's mom-to-be is Markai from Florida. She is 16 and is a senior (home schooled I think). Her whole story came about because she and her lover James didn't have protected sex even though they were educated. They have a good support system from their friends but not from her mom. But, it's totally understandable because she was a teen mom as well.

She has a weird craving for soap and for some reason she makes a lot of excess saliva. James is out on the job hunt but so far has been unsuccessful. They tried to secretly move James into Markai's house but her mom was against it.

After a while, James quit looking for a job and his ex-girlfriend has been trying to hook up with him on Myspace. (Really...who uses Myspace anymore?!) After a painful labor, Za'karia is born.

Markai has been talking with her dad, trying to find them a place to live but in the meantime, her mom had a change of heart and James is living with them. But once she finds out that he cheated on her in the beginning of their relationship, the mega fight ensues. And not just a verbal fight. After this, they declared that they were through. But it didn't last long because they reconciled realizing that they do love each other and have to work on their relationship for Za'karia. The main issue was a lack of trust and a lot of fear.

I am hoping that they can work this out because there is nothing I dislike more than the guys on this show that don't care about their child. You will be a part of that kids life whether you like it or not so you might as well have a good relationship. I'd say that we are now 2/4 on supportive baby daddies because I really feel like Daniel from last week was just a pain and not any help to her at all.

Wish you well,
St. Ann

November 15-19 Previews

House: After a 200-year-old medicine jar found on an off-shore shipwreck shatters in a teenage girl's palm, she is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro for symptoms closely linked to smallpox. When the Center for Disease Control's Dr. Dave Broda institutes a lockdown on the hospital and suspends House's team's ability to diagnose, Masters grows suspicious of Broda's motives and becomes convinced that the patient is suffering from a different disease. The girl's father soon experiences similar symptoms, and House is forced to make a precarious decision that puts his own life in jeopardy.

Glee: Gwenyth Paltrow makes a guest appearance as Holly Holiday when Mr. Schue takes a sick day.

OTH: Thanksgiving ep. The gang gathers at Nathan and Haley's house for the holiday.

16&Pregnant: Markai is our mom this week. From the looks of the preview, there are some serious trust issues going on.

ANTM: The final 4 girls meet one-on-one with Vogue Italia's editor-in-chief, Franca Sozzani and the girls are challenged to pose with emotion through movement. Double elimination this week!

Never Been Kissed (Glee) Overview

This episode had an interesting premise. The whole storyline revolved around the glee guys using mental images of coach Beiste in compromising positions to "cool off" whilst making out with their significant others. During one of said make out sessions with Quinn, Sam says Beiste's name which prompts her to think that they are having some sort of relationship. Sue tells Quinn to go public with the news as a double motive. A) to get Beiste fired (which is Sue's ultimate goal this season so far I think) and B) so that Sam will confess and he and Quinn can work it out.

Meanwhile the clubs competition has been announced for sectionals. The all-boys school Dalton Academy and a group of elderly people who are going back to school to get their GEDs. In continuation of the tradition, the boys vs. girls mash-up challenge commences with a little twist. The groups will be singing songs originally performed by groups of the opposite gender. Have to say the girls' was my favorite just because I love both of the songs they put together.

Kurt is getting sick of homophobic Karofsky so he goes to visit Dalton Academy where he meets Blaine, the very out, gay male lead of The Warblers (glee club). He gives him a little bit of inspiration to keep perservering through the bullying from Karofsky. When Kurt goes to confront Karofsky about it, Karofsky kisses him which leads us to believe that he is gay or at least questioning his sexual preferences. *Gasp* This leads to a confrontation by Kurt and Blaine and Karofsky just storms off.

After Mike confronts Beiste about "staying away from his woman" (after Tina said "Beiste" whilst making out with Mike), Beiste asks Will what is going on. After informing her, she quits and Sue's full cheerleading budget is restored. Will is horrified to receive this info from Sue so he goes to talk to Beiste about why she quit. She gives him this somewhat length-y speech about how she has never fit in because of the way she acts on the outside. That at the end of the day, she just wants to be reminded that she is a girl. And that she's never been kissed. *Cue pity/heartfelt kiss from Schue* and his sort-of tacky line, "Well now you've been kissed." The boys close the show with their mash-up and they dedicate it to Coach Beiste and winning her forgiveness.

Wish you well,

Emily (16&Pregnant)

I have to say, I didn't watch all of this episode. Partially because I was sleepy and partially because I was extremely bored. Her baby daddy, Daniel, was like THE most self-centered person ever. He didn't think that he needed to help her with baby Liam because he lived an hour away. He assumed that because he was getting a scholarship to The University of Alabama at Huntsville, that she will follow and they will live in an apartment on campus together. He didn't really give her a whole lot of options about anything concerning her future. She was going to fail due to attendance so she withdrew and started homeschooling. After baby Liam was born her grades suffered even more and she will no longer be able to graduate on time. That seems to be a re-occurring theme this season. Nevertheless, I don't think that she should stay with Daniel. He doesn't really do a whole lot to support them and is very controlling. Very bad combination.

Wish you well,

Luck be a Lady (OTH) Overview

Finally I get to watch an episode! I have missed just about all of them so far this year. So here's a little bit of catch up:
Haley is pregnant!
Nathan retired
Brooke and Julian are getting married
Quinn and Clay almost died but they are alive now.

And now, this episode!

Brooke and Julian's mom, Sylvia, are going to the annual Tree Hill Bridal Expo to gather ideas for Brooke's wedding. Turns out Sylvia and her have nothing in common in terms of taste and so Brooke called Haley to try and second her opinions. This also backfires because of Haley's pregnancy hormones and Brooke ends up taking a drunk Sylvia home from the expo.

Julian is on the hunt for a best man and his idea of male bonding comes in the form of a poker night at Nathan's house. This also turns out horribly wrong. Mostly because everyone loses their money to Julian because Alex (who left for a while then came back to apologize to Chase. He didn't want anything to do with her so she came up with the master plan of being the dealer so they could spend some time together. And that backfired too) stacked the deck so that Julian would win every time.

Nathan is now working as an agent for Clay's company and his first order of business was to go to Atlanta to sign the Falcons' QB who recently fired his agents. Initially after meeting with the teams publicist, he feels like he has messed it up completely and is mad at Clay for sending hi to Atlanta without any knowledge of the business. Turns out he didn't need it because the QB signed with them.

Skills came home for a little pre-wedding visit and for some reason he brought a mannequin that looks like Lucas with him. He and Mouth talk about their lives and how Mouth and Millie have stopped trying to get back together.

Haley and Mia are working on singing a new act for the label.  They both want to sign Erin from the open-mic night but when Haley asks her about it, she hangs up. (Erin is a client of Haley's) But, at the end of the episode, Erin shows up at Red Bedroom and asks Haley whether or not she actually liked her music. Haley says yes and later receives a call from Erin saying that she will be coming in to the studio tomorrow.

Felicia (16&Pregnant) Overview

Our teen mom this week was Felicia from Texas. Her and her boyfriend Alex live with her mom and grandma. Alex doesn't really like her mom so he is always out with his friends instead of at home with Felicia. To avoid unwanted drama between Alex and her mom, they moved out and went to her sister's house. Even though there isn't any drama, Alex still isn't staying home with Felicia.

After being 4 days over her due date, the doctors induced her. Even in labor, Alex was not understanding of the pain she was in. After 10 hours of labor, Genesis Alexa was born. But, not even an hour later, Alex left to go "change" and never returned. This prompted Felicia to move back ion with her mother.

Alex spend more money on himself than he does on their baby and isn't helpful at all. Felicia is still able to graduate on time but she has to work really hard to make up the 6 weeks of work she missed.

At the end of the episode, Felicia confronted Alex about the lack of help she is receiving from him and that she could really care less about whether or not they are together but he is missing out on being a part of his daughter's life. Alex didn't have a whole lot to say other than, "I don't really care if I'm with you either" and walked away. Talk about dead beat. That makes us 1/2 on supportive baby papas this season.

November 1-5 Overview

House: No new episode due to the World Series Game 5.

Glee: No New episode. Why? I don't know either.

OTH: Finally a new episode! Julian's mom shows up to help Brooke plan the wedding and it just turns into a hot mess. Nathan is struggling with his new job (which I don't know what it's supposed to be) and Haley's counseling abilities are challenged. Skills comes home with a new friend from LA and Julian is on the hunt for a best man. I'm so happy! I don't have to work tonight so I'll actually get to watch this!

16&Pregnant: Our mom-to-be this week is Felicia. From the looks of it, this will be a more interesting episode than last week. She has a lot of pressure put on her by her mom to do well in school because no one in her family has graduated from high school. Baby daddy's name is Alex and he doesn't look like he cares a whole lot about either one of them.

ANTM: The girls are on the move to Italy! Upon arrival they will do a photo shoot on gondolas and visit their first Italian Fashion House, Missoni.

Friday Night Lights: Coach finds out not everyone is pleased by the Lions' strong showing in the season opener; Vince's newfound football stardom comes with perks; Luke faces consequences for his aggressive play.

The Rocky Horror Glee Show Overview

I have been having a unusually hard time writing this re-cap so I thought I'd just let FOX do it for me.

Brooke (16&Pregnant) Overview

So I thought that this was a pretty boring episode to open up with. Halfway through I was just thinking to myself, "please get off the screen, your life is so boring". Brooke and her fiance Cody have been together for 10 years (yeah, okay) and got engaged when she found out she was pregnant. They both love to go to the track and race but that won't be happening much longer. About 10 minutes in to the episode, they got married in a smallish wedding and all the men in the bridal party wore racing suits. Not going to voice my opinion on that. That'd take up a whole entire post.

Because they are married now, they are not going to receive any financial aid from their parents and will be doing all the cleaning instead of paying rent until they move out. And even when they do move out, they aren't even going to be living in a house. They are going to buy a pre-fabricated barn that is small enough for them to put on her parents property. Talk about class.

The main arguments that they got into were all about Cody's lack of ability to pass a test that would determine whether or not he would graduate early. He eventually passed so now he will be able to stay home with little Brody when he is born. I think Brody is kind of cute. It's a good combo of Brooke and Cody. Usually when people combine their names to name their children, it turns out horribly wrong. I guess at least Cody was supportive. He didn't run off and leave her and her baby to figure it out for themselves. Which is more than I can say for most of the dads last season.

Wish you well,

Finale pt. 2 (Project Runway) Overview

This is it! The finale of season 8. The episode opened up with a reunion of sorts. The whole cast got together with the judges to talk about the season and they showed little overviews of the finalists and their journeys this season. As their last little challenge, each designer had to eliminate one look from their collections. Jessica Simpson was the guest judge.

Andy's collection was relatively bland. The main colors were silver and a lime green and all the girls were wearing these wire head pieces with stars on them. I had no idea what purpose they served other than to make the looks futuristic. Which didn't really happen.

Gretchen's collection was less pop of color and more neutrals with a touch of green or red every now and then. Most of the prints she used were kind of tribal/giraffe. The whole feel of the collection was relaxed and I also picked up a bit of safari from it. It was more interesting than Andy's but it wasn't my favorite.

Mondo. I loved his collection so much. The colors were so bright and the patterns were so vivid. This is what putting on a show is all about. The best part is that most of the pieces were actually wearable. Most of the ensembles weren't, but the pieces alone were. The only thing I wasn't totally in love with were the head pieces. They were big flowers combined with some feathers and the looks didn't really need them. I loved his whole DotD/circus concept. It was very prominent in the designs.

But, I'm not a judge. If I was Mondo would've totally won. After a very split decision the judges announced that Gretchen was the winner of season 8. Mondo was second and Andy was third. As always, you can see photos of all the looks at mylifetime.com.

October 25-29 Previews

House: Amber Tamblyn joins House for a multi-episode arc as Martha Masters, a brilliant but inexperienced third-year medical student whom Cuddy forces House to hire as a female team member in Thirteen's absence. In the midst of a tight senatorial re-election race, the New Jersey incumbent's campaign manager mysteriously falls ill with liver failure and temporary paralysis. After a surprising campaign announcement is made by the incumbent, House and the team look to the candidate to find clues about the patient's condition. Meanwhile, Foreman learns that Taub has a past connection to Masters, and in an effort to save his patient's life, House must make a critical decision that may compromise his relationship with Cuddy.

Glee: It's finally here! The Rocky Horror Glee Show!! Will gets the club to do a production of RH for the annual fall/winter play and in an attempt to woo Emma because it is her favorite movie. Finn and Rachel will be playing Brad and Janet, Kurt is Riff-Raff and everyone thought John Stamos was going to be Dr. Frank N. Furter but Mercedes will be playing him instead. Little dissappointed in this but I don't make all the decisions.

OTH: My favorite show is taking the week off. Probably so that it doesn't have to compete for viewers with Glee.

16&Pregnant: The new season opens up with Brooke from Texas who likes to race cars and she met her baby daddy at the track. They are living together at her house and things look like they will be super dramatic with these two.

ANTM: Designer Zac Posen surprises the girls at their beach house to inform them they will be wearing his fall 2010 collection during this week's runway challenge. The girls put their personality to the test when they shoot their very first commercial while wearing roller skates on the beach. Posen is also this week's guest judge.

Friday Night Lights: The (final) season premiere is Wednesday. I have heard absolutely nothing about what will be happening in this season. We'll just have to wait and see. It will air on DirecTV's 101 network at 9pm

Project Runway: It's Finale time!! The final 3 (Gretchen, Mondo and Andy) will be showing at Fashion Week and a winner will be crowned!

Mystery Question

This week's question comes to you in the form of a wordle! Now if you can read it you are a genius. Little hint, the capitalized words are the beginning of sentences.

Wordle: Questions

If you don't feel like figuring this out here's the question. What are your favorite things to do on the weekend? Watch re-runs of your favorite shows? Hang out with friends? Let me know. Maybe we will have something in common.

Wish you well,

Finale Pt. 1 (Project Runway) Overview

In this week's half of the finale, Tim Gunn went to each of the four designer's homes to see what they were working on.
The first designer we visited was Andy South. His inspiration for his collection was Bhudda Park in Laos. Tim was concerned with his collection. Not that it was a big deal because he made into the top 3 and will be showing at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Yay! I really liked the snippet of his collection that he showed to the judges and his new piece that he had to create for the challenge.

Next up was Michael Costello. He drew his inspiration from the colors of sunsets and the textures of feathers. Tim's advice for him was to stop designing and edit what he had. He had a lot of extra pieces that he wasn't going to use and the ones that he was going to use were a little unfinished. In the end he showed three looks that were the same color and not very marvelous and thus, no Fashion Week for him. I was a little bit sad because he had worked so hard for it and his family has never really supported his love of design.

The third designer that we visited was Mondo. I have to say I liked his the most. He used a New Mexican circus/Day of the Dead theme in his collection and the pieces were all interesting. Tim shared my love for his collection. The judges did as well and he will be showing next week at Fashion Week.

Last, but not least, is Gretchen. Her inspiration was a mix of her western roots and worldly cultures. Tim thought that it could be a little costume-y and that it was all just a matter of taste.

As always, you can check out all the looks here. The order is: Andy, Gretchen, Michael, Mondo. Each designer had three looks.

Wish you well,

Teen Mom Check-Up with Dr. Drew

In Teen Mom fashion, after the end of a season all the moms (and Catelynn) get together and talk about where they are in their lives after the events of the finale. I only caught snippets of the first hour because I was flipping between this and ANTM. The hour was dedicated to my favorite two girls, Maci and Farrah, so I was sad that I missed most of theirs. In summation:
  • Farrah and her mom are talking again. Her mother may be a crazy person but it's good that they are trying to work through their issues so that she can be someone Farrah can talk to about Sophia and Derek (baby daddy that died).
  • Maci and Kyle are back together. I like Kyle, but I wish that her and Ryan could work out their differences and be a family for Bentley.
  • Catelynn and Tyler have been going to therapy to get back to before Catelynn told Tyler about all the stuff that happened with her ex from Florida. Catelynn's mother is still a crazy person and doesn't respect her decision to give up Carly. But they are "working on that".
  • Amber and Gary have made no progress. At all. Although, they are back together and Chris is completely out of the picture. I don't know what is happening with the domestic abuse charges that are supposedly happening right now. They didn't talk about it.
Wish you well,

Week 7 (ANTM) Overview

This week the remaining eight girls were challanged to create a look that, if chosen, they would wear to the Grammys to be one of the Grammy Girls. Their looks had to be youthful but not too bold so that they would't distract from the artists up on stage.  Kayla was chosen as the challenge winner. I think that even after only watching one episode she is my favorite. She reminds me of Hayley Williams of Paramore a little bit. What do you think?

<--Hayley         Kayla-->

For the actual photo shoot, the girls portrayed iconic fashion designers. To see the photos from this week you can go to each girl's portfolio to check them out. All of the pictures that have been taken throught this season are in them as well. Liz had best photo this week while Ester and Kendal were in the bottom 2. In the end, the judges questioned whether or not Kendal wanted it and she was sent home. Francesco Carrozzini was the photographer and the guest judge this week.

October 18-22 Previews

House: After a newborn experiences inexplicable breathing problems and liver failure, House and the team look at the baby's mother, Abbey's, own medical history for possible clues. When the team makes a discovery about her newborn's health, Abbey is presented with a difficult decision that could potentially affect both her baby's health and her own. Meanwhile, following Cuddy's directive, House challenges Foreman and Taub to hire a female doctor to join the team. When Cuddy asks House to babysit her daughter, both House and Wilson learn a few hard lessons in parenting.

Glee: No new episode this week :( They are teasing us so that more people will watch next week's Rocky Horror ep. Which I am super pumped for. I already requested that day off of work so I (hopefully) won't miss it. Fox.com has some pretty grand previews up if you wanna check those out. But really, who doesn't? You can see them here.

OTH: Tree Hill must be ahead of the normal world because this week, they are doing their Halloween episode. Looks like Katie come back from the dead to haunt Quinn and Clay, Mia and Haley are hosting an open mic night and Nathan is starting a new career.

Project Runway: Well I guess I was wrong. There are 2 episodes left not just one. I knew that there only being one episode left sounded weird but I wasn't sure. This week they narrow down from four contestants to three and we see what people have been working on!

ANTM: The girls head over to the Grammy Museum and the CEO of the recording company states that one of them will be chosen as the "Grammy Girl" for this year's Grammy Awards. In the photo shoot, they are to portray iconic fashion designers. Guest judge and photographer, Francesco Carrozzini.

Teen Mom: This week is the reunion with Dr. Drew.

Unplanned Parenthood (House) Overview

This week our patient was not one, but two people! Gasp! We have a mother, Abbey (played by Jennifer Grey. See DWTS, Dirty Dancing, ect.), and her new baby. The problem is that the child is having breathing problems and thus the drama ensues.

There are three main story lines in this episode.
(1) House has to babysit for Cuddy. He tries to get Wilson to do it for him so that he can go to the hospital and see what's wrong with the other baby. While they are outside arguing, Rachel (Cuddy's kid) eats a dime and trashes the living room. House doesn't tell Cuddy about the dime and sneaks her in to the hospital to do an ultrasound of Rachel's stomach to see where the dime is. In order to extend the time he has with Rachel, House messes with Wilson's radiation badge so that Cuddy will have to stay at the hospital. He gives her a laxative and after 4 hours, there's still no dime. This leads us to believe that she didn't really eat a dime, but in the very end Cuddy finds it in her diaper.

(2) The sick baby has dialated bile ducts, which leads teh team to think that it is a liver problem. They treat her for that but she doesn't get better. So, they hook her up to a blood transfusion of mom's blood and she miraculously seems healthier. As soon as they take her off the blood, she get sick again and the team decides it is a vascular malformation. Turns out its not that either. This can only mean one thing. Mom has something that she passed along to the baby. Answer: Melanoma. For some reason however, Abbey didn't feel sick at all. Turns out she also had lung cancer. Basically her cancer was treating her cancer. The team suggested they do surgery on her and start chemo on the baby so that both could live. Abbey refused and told them to just keep giving the baby her blood because it was treating her cancer. Abbey died of a pulmonary embolism later, but they had harvested enough blood to treat the baby.

(3) The hunt is still on for another doctor to replace 13. Foreman hire's someone but House fires her before even meeting her. He then instructs Taub to find a replacement. Taub starts talking to Dr. Cheng about taking the position. House is okay witht this but Taub just thinks it is all part of the game so he doesnt hire her. At the very end when he asks her to join she rejects him saying, "you acted like a child during this whole process. I hate kids."

We're In A New York State of Mind (Project Runway) Overview

In this second-to-last episode, the designers were challenged to make a look inspired by NYC. The four who weren't eliminated would proceed to showing at The Lincoln Center. Of course, only three will actually show so next week someone else will be eliminates as well. PR alum Christian Siriano was the guest judge for this challenge. He was the winner of the fourth season of Project Runway and my favorite from that season.

I am sad to say that April was sent home this week. I don't think her design was bad, per say, but it didn't fit the inspiration they were given. That means that Michael C., Mondo, Gretchen and Andy are the final four. All photos from last night's episode can be seen here and if you've missed almost the whole season (like me), you can catch up with the scorecard showing the designs and when your favorite may have been eliminated.

We Gon' Light It Up

Okay. This week's question has nothing to do with TV. Mostly because I've had a song stuck in my head all day and all I've wanted to do was dance. So...
What's your favorite song to party to?
It doesn't have to be today's hottest pop song or even an upbeat one. Just a song that makes you want to dance and have fun. Mine right now is "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz. I have listened to it like a hundred times today alone. Let me know what your jam is. Should be interesting.

Glee Songs, Animoto Style

The subtitles were too small to read so here they are.
  • With Puck in juvie, that means Sam's in!
  • Despite their differences, Santana and Mercedes pair up.
  • Tina helps Mike find his voice.
  • After changing his mind about performing with Sam, Kurt performed solo.
  • With this offensive performance there was no way they'd win. But that was the point.
  • Winners! Their rendition of "Lucky" was marvelous.
  • With their performance of "Happy Days Are Here Again"/ "Get Happy" Rachel lets Kurt know he's not alone.

Duets (Glee) Overview

So this week the kids were challenged to pair up and work on duets. In a slight twist, Puck was absent from this week's episode because he is in juvie for stealing the ATM from a convenience store. Thus, in his absence there is an odd number of kids. How does this work, you say? Well, Sam has officially joined the club! With his recent injury I figured his joining would be inevitable. Finn and Rachel pair up (obviously), Tina and Mike (after Artie turned her down because he is with Brittany), Santana and Mercedes (even though they can't stand each other. Santana just REALLY wanted to win.), Artie and Brittany (they withdrew from the competition), Sam and Quinn (I spot a budding romance!) and Kurt just performed solo after he decided against working with Sam.

In the very beginning, we are thrown into Brittany's bedroom for some interesting (to say the least) happenings between her and Santana. Brittany suggests that they should do a duet for Glee and Santana shoots her down. Maybe because she isn't ready to publicly embrace their "relationship" or whatever is happening between them.

After being turned down by Santana Brittany goes to Artie and asks him to be her duet partner/boyfriend. He doesn't understand why but accepts anyway. Tina and Mike get into a fight about how he doesn't want to do a duet because he isn't really a singer and how they never go on any normal dates.

Kurt initially wanted to work with Sam for the duet and Sam was on board. But after getting slushied and Kurt's dad had a talk with Kurt about how maybe he was pushing the kid too hard, Kurt dissolved their partnership and Sam started trying to convince Quinn to be his partner. After telling Sam that they were no longer going to work together, he does his performance of  "Le Jazz Hot". This was my second favorite number. Finn and Rachel's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" is definitely my number one. What can I say, I love them.

Finn and Rachel are pretty sure they are going to win. Rachel realizes that Sam has to win in order for him to feel accepted into the group and they spend the majority of the episode trying to find a way to lose. This comes by way of a super offensive rendition of "With You, I Am Born Again " dressed as a priest and a nun respectively.

Santana and Mercedes perform their duet, "River Deep, Mountain High". I'm pretty sure Santana has some sort of problem because she is SUPER obsessed with winning the free trip to Breadstix.

Tina and Mike do an uber cute version of "Sing!" from A Chorus Line. I'd have to say this is my third favorite.

While practicing for their duet, Artie realizes that he isn't over Tina and tries to leave. Brittany has other plans. "Before our duet, we're gonna do it." I think that says enough. The reason they pull out of the competition is because Brittany was just using him so she could win/make Santana a little jealous.

After Finn and Rachel perform, Quinn and Sam do their duet. Their chemistry was super palpable and because everyone voted for themselves except Finn and Rachel, they won. Their trip to Breadstix was "so not a date" according to Quinn at first. However, after having a cute little conversation about how he thought she was really brave for coming back, she changes her mind and makes him pay, "a gentleman always pays on the first date".

At the end of the episode, Rachel and Kurt sing a mash-up of "Happy Days Are Here Again" and "Get Happy" so that Kurt will know that he isn't alone and the glee kids love him.

Teen Mom Finale Overview

In he season finale last night, the four girls' storylines were sort of wrapped up but not enough for this to be the end of the show.

Maci: Because she and Kyle are now broken up, you would think that she would move back home to Chattanooga. But, that is not the case. She is going to stay in Nashville and keep working and going to school there. Ryan and her spent the majority of the episode trying to work out a visitation schedule. Ryan ended up getting one more day than he had before. Maci had a hard time giving up another day but after realizing that Bentley needs both of his parents around.

Amber: Apparently, she has a new boyfriend that I didn't know about. His name is Chris and he seems just as gross as Gary. Amber and Gary spent the majority of the episode trying to work out a visitation schedule but in reality they were just fighting and being childish. Gary threatened to get Leah taken away if Chris was being to big a part of her life. This doesnt really make a whole lot of sense to me. But then again, Amber and Gary don't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Farrah: Farrah spent the majority of the episode moving out of her apartment and into her mom's rental house which is right across the street from her old house. Her mom tried to give her all of these fees for moving in early and a ton of tenant paperwork. The sad part is that the house wasn't even ready to be moved in to so it still needed painted and fixed up in some rooms. Although there was all this major drama, her mom set her up on a date with her hairdresser's son and their relationship looks like it's headed in a good direction.

Carly w/ Brandon & Theresa.
If I could've found a good picture of her
with Catelynn & Tyler I would've used it.

Catelynn: Okay... As much as I hate Catelynn and Tyler in every other episode this season, I found myself smiling during their segments. This episode was mainly focused on them going to see Carly, their daughter that they gave up for adoption, on her first birthday. Her adoptive parents live in West Virinia and Catelynn and Tyler live in Michigan so it was a long drive for them. They celebrated with a picnic in the park. When it was time to go home the next day, they gave Brandon and Theresa a scrapbook of them and a recordable book with their voices so that Carly would always have them in her life.

Massage Therapy (House) Overview

So this episode was pretty interesting. I don't remember all of the different diagnoses that they went through until they found out the truth but I'm pretty sure it was a kind of long list. The episode starts out with Margaret, our patient this week, in her house on a stormy night making dinner for her husband. Somewhere in the house a door slams shut and her husband walks in and asks her if she is alright. She then throws up and collapses on the floor in a great deal of stomach pain.

There is a new cast member this week, whose name is Kelly, that Chase hired as a replacement for 13. House has a theory that he hired her because she looks like Cameron/his mother. She isn't really qualified to be a part of the team and Foreman makes that well known. She ends up quitting at the end of the episode before House fires her.

When House asks her things about her past, she concocts a lie about having a past abusive relationship and that her ex-husband poisoned her dog. She says that she goes to a support group in Trenton for abuse victims on Tuesdays and that she used to be on the cycling team when she was a student at UMass. This doesn't really explain her 8 previously broken ribs and her stomach pain. None of this turns out to be true because when they check with the hospital and the university, they have no record of performing the operation and that she was ever a student there. She confesses to none of this being true after the team confronts her about it. Everything is relatively normal until she start halucinating. This leads House to the true answer. She is a schizophrenic who stopped taking her medication and is going through withdrawl. Her husband contemplates leaving her because she lied to him about her whole past.

The other underlying storyline in this episode was House's massage therapist and what Cuddy thinks about her. You see, she is a hooker that House used to sleep with but doesn't anymore because he is dating Cuddy. She isn't confortable with the "slept with" part and want him to stop seeing her. House doesn't want to because she is the only person out of the 15 different massage therapists he's seen that makes his leg feel better. In an attempt to make her feel better about it, House sends her a massage therapist who turns out to be gay and not speak a whole lot of English. This little episode forces them to face the reservations they have about their relationship and eachother.

Preview Overview October 11-15

Glee: This week's episode, the kids pair up and do duets and there is a little competition involved. The main focus is the newly formed Artie-Tina-Mike love triangle and the reappearance of Sam. Rachel and Finn throw the competition so that Sam has a better chance of wining. Based off of the information I've gathered, I think that he joins the club because of his injury.

OTH: This is going to be an interesting episode. It is the first time The CW has combined two shows into one episode type thing. I'm hoping it doesn't turn out like a Disney Channel special. OTH and Life Unexpected are coming together for music purposes. Haley books Mia a show in Portland (where Life Unexpected is set) so that she can get away from Chase (her ex-lover) and Alex (mega-slut man-stealer). Everyone is alive (including Clay and Quinn yay!) and will be attending Mia's show.

Project Runway: This week's episode will determine which 3 contestants will show at Lincoln Center in the final. This means double elimination!

House: This week's patient is a lady named Margaret who won't stop throwing up. Yum. Turns out she isn't who she says she is and the team looks into her past to help cure her. Chase hires someone to replace 13 and House doesn't give her the warmest welcome. Also, a visit from House's massage therapist forces Huddy to face the reservations in their relationship.

ANTM: The remaining models are doing group shots in motion this week. I haven't been watching so I haven't picked a girl that I want to win yet for this season. Nevertheless, there looks like there is gonna be some drama amongst the pairings and I can't wait to watch!

TV Couples. Who's Your Fave?

In every show there is that one couple that everyone either loves or hates. I personally ship Naley and Finchel hardcore but I'm not the only person who loves them. So who are your favorites? It can be from any show and any time. Maybe you only watch old school cartoons and are in love with Fred and Daphne. Let me know. It should be interesting.

A Look In The Line (Project Runway) Overview

I know, right? My repertoire of shows is expanding! On this episode of Project Runway, the remaining six designers we challenged to create a mini-line that would be influenced by Heidi Klum's active wear line for New Balance.

Gretchen, Christopher and Michael were in the bottom three and Andy, Mondo and April were in the top.
In the end, Christopher went home and Andy won the challenge. Instead of just one of the looks being put into Heidi's line, all three were.

This link has pictures of all the designs from last night's episode. They are grouped by into threes by who designed them. There are 18 total looks. Andy (1-3), April (4-6), Christopher (7-9), Gretchen (10-12), Michael (13-15), Mondo (16-18).

Grilled Cheesus (Glee) Overview

So I think this episode of Glee has become one of my favorites of all time. Mostly because it actually had a storyline that was executed properly and the song choices were great. I don't really want to write a whole 5 page thing about every breath the characters took so here are the high points.
  • Finn thinks he has found a direct line to God through his Grilled Cheesus (grilled cheese that has a burn mark that looks like Jesus' face). With it, he makes three wishes 1) For them to win their first football game, 2) That he'll get farther than second base with Rachel and 3) for him to become starting quarterback again.
  • Kurt's dad has a heart attack and that's why he is in the hospital. Everybody sings a song for Burt in prayer even though Kurt isn't really happy about it. He doesn't believe in God because of the views that Christians have on the gay community.
  • Sue and Will have it out about the fact that the glee kids are doing songs about spirituality. Makes sense because it is a public school but her overreaction is kinda hilarious. “Well William, if your kids want to praise Jesus in class, I suggest that they enroll at Sweet Mary Holy Mother of God Academy on I love Jesus Street, but not here. This country is not a monarchy, William. Trust me, I’ve tried.” -Sue Sylvester.
  • Kurt re-evaluates how he spends his time, seeing that he doesn't spend as much time as he should with his dad. The flashbacks during "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" made me cry.
  • When Finn realizes that his sandwich isn't a link to God after talking to Ms. Pillsbury about his guilt over Sam getting hurt in their game, he sings "Losing My Religion" in the library. I have to say, his naivete went a little too overboard this episode. He isn't really that dumb, I hope.
  • We see some more of Sue's sister, Jean, in this episode. They talk about religion and Jean asks if Sue wants her to pray for her and Sue says yes.
  • The episode closes with the club singing "One of Us" and Burt sort of waking up. (Yay!)
Overall, I think that the episode didn't shove religion down our throats, it showed us how each character felt about a higher power. Not everyone has to believe in God, just something bigger than themselves.

Diagnosis: Best episode yet.

Too Much Too Soon (Teen Mom) Overview

Okay, so I only watched the last half of this week's episode because I got home at 10:20 and then we had search for the remote for another 10 minutes. Basically,
  • Maci and Kyle broke up. I don't know how I feel about this. I liked Kyle, but deep down I want her and Ryan to be together. Even though he is a jerk.
  • Catelyn and Tyler had nothing that happened to them as usual. Why can't they get kicked off the show already.
  • Amber and Gary are no longer together (again). He attempted to apologize (again) and was shot down by Amber (again).
  • Farrah took her mom to counseling with her so that they could talk about Sophia's dad. Debra seemed unsympathetic (as usual) about the whole situation even though he meant a lot to Farrah even though they were broken up at the time of his death.
*Because I got home late, I missed both Glee and OTH. I'll try and post those summaries ASAP*

Unwritten (House) Overview

I know, it's a miracle. I have something to write about that isn't Glee or OTH based. This is the first episode of House that I have watched this season and in a long time. I really don't know why I haven't been watching it this season because it's not on at the same time as anything this year. (Last year it was on at the same time as OTH. Priorities.) Anyway, on tho the overview!

This week's patient was Alice Hunter, a novelist for young adults, who writes detective fiction. The show opens up with her sitting at her desk finishing up the final pages of her newest book. She is talking with this boy named Jack (who isn't real) about how this is her last book and she isn't going to let him read it. She reaches for a small hand gun and is in the process of killing herself when she has a seizure.

The show then cuts to House and Wilson talking about how House doesn't think his and Cuddy's relationship will last long because they don't have anything in common. House then goes to conduct his first interview with Alice about why she tried to kill herself and she get defensive and tries to leave only to be put on psych hold for 36 hours.

While on their "date", House and Cuddy go to Alice's house to look for clues and end up talking with the housekeeper about her habits. House finds a can of tuna in the trash which makes him think that mercury poisoning is the reason for her seizures. When they return to the hospital, House tries to get Cuddy to perform the mercury poisoning tests because Alice has requested a female doctor. While Chase and Taub are about to administer the mercury poisoning treatment, Alice has another seizure.

It has now been established that it isn't mercury poisoning. They take her in to get an MRI to look for a tumor and the magnetic field causes the screws in her leg to super-heat and giver her 3rd degree burns on her leg. Supposedly, the screws are from a skiing accident, but really they are from a car accident.

When House goes to visit Alice, he says that if she cooperates with the tests that the staff wants to run he'll help her kill herself. He gives her a needle full of "deadly narcotics" and she shoots it into her leg. What he really gave her was a sedative and because she used it, her psych hold was extended another 24 hours.

House has a theory that Alice is really Helen from the novel and he uses the typewriter ribbon and the MRI machine to get the rest of the novel printed so he can look for clues. The new diagnosis is lupus, which doesn't really mean anything because, "It's never lupus". While House and Cuddy are on a double date with Wilson and his girlfriend, House realizes that it wasn't a skiing accident but a car accident and that the real cause of her sickness is hypothyroidism.

In the end, Alice's real name is Helen, Jack (main character of her books) was her son who died in said car accident . House lies and tells her that Jack had a brain aneurysm so that she would stop feeling guilty. Alice (Helen) has surgery to fix her hypothyroidism and all is well. House and Cuddy have a cute little moment at the end where she tells him that she doesn't want their relationship to be normal because then it would be boring.

Diagnosis: Why haven't I been watching this?!?!

Preview Overview Glee and OTH

OTH: In the lovely little "Tree Hill in 20" preview that the CW does, here's what's been revealed:
  • Brooke's mom is trying to find a way to make the whole "I'm in prison" thing work for them as good publicity.
  • Nathan said something along the lines of "I'm still going to play basketball".
  • Alex is a mega slut.
And that's all I picked up from it. If you don't believe me, you can check it out here.

There was also a clip released from next week's episode that showed Brooke and Julian at some estate where Julian wanted them to get married. Not much was revealed in terms of general storyline but it had a fluffy little moment for all you Brulian fans.

Glee: This week's episode is the religion episode. I didn't actually watch the previews for it but thanks to Wikipedia and Fox Broadcasting, I have a pretty good understanding of what is supposed to happen.
Finn sees the face of Jesus in a grilled cheese sandwich. Perhaps a reference to this story about a woman in Florida with Mary on a sandwich.
Kurt's dad finds himself in the hospital in a life or death situation. This sparks the rest of the glee kids to rally around Kurt in his time of need.
Mercedes brings Kurt to church with her.

This week's songs include:
"Losing My Religion"
"Papa, Can You Hear Me?"
"One of Us"
"I Look to You"
"Only the Good Die Young"
"Bridge over Troubled Water"
"I Want to Hold Your Hand"

Poll Friday, Round Two!

Hello! Since it is Friday, it's time for another poll question!

This week's isn't really a poll with definite choices, it's more of a "what do you want out of this?" question. So...
What shows do you want to see on here other than what already gets posted?

Let me know what you think. I am open to any new shows so don't be afraid to mention your fav :)

Wish you well,
St. Ann

*Also, in a little bit of an update concerning the lack of posts this week*
The only reason I haven't done any OTH recaps is because it is on at the same time as Glee and I must prioritize. I would just watch them online and then do a post, but the CWTV doesn't post the new episodes until the next week and the streaming is really bad. I still haven't seen the majority of the first two episodes because of this issue.

Britney/Brittany (Glee) Overview

Well, I don't know about you but I loved the Britney Spears episode. I loved that almost all of the numbers were drug induced (legally). It was provocative, yet refined; Over-the-top, with down to Earth moments. In particular at the end with Rachel's performance of "The Only Exception" (Paramore) directed toward Finn. But, on with the summary!

In the beginning, we are introduced to Emma's dentist boyfriend, Carl (played by John Stamos) and see that Mr. Schue is very opposed to doing Britney because she isn't a good role model. Brittany tells that she is also opposed to Britney because her name is also "Britney Spears" (Brittany Susan Pierce/ Brittany S Pierce). Carl comes in to see the club and talk about dental hygine and that's when the dream sequence/fantasy numbers begin! First with Brittany singing "I'm  A Slave 4 U", then a duet between Santana and Brittany on "Me Against the Music" ft. Madonna. Mr. Schue then spends his time in the office with Carl and they make a deal over Emma. Mr. Schue has to back off but as soon as Emma starts leaning his way it's game on. The next patient is Rachel, who while under anesthesia does a cover of "One More Time". Her outfit at school the next day gets every one's attention, making Finn uncomfortable. I'm not sure why the writers have this whole thing between them about how both of them have to be losers for their relationship to work. Doesn't make any sense to me.

In order to somewhat compete with Carl, Mr. Schue buys a new Corvette. This leads to our first sighting of Terri this season. She has returned to us as crazy as ever. Sue confronts Will about her finding Jacob Ben-Israel naked in the library doing God-only-knows-what and that she also is opposed to the club doing Britney. Our next dentist visit is Artie and while under he does a cover of "Stronger", which is one of my favorite songs, after a little run-in with Britney and the rest of the glee girls in which Tina and Artie apologize to each other for breaking up. Afterwards, Artie goes to talk to Finn about him being on the team and much to Finn's amazement Coach Beiste puts them both on the team. This leads to Finn and Rachel having a discussion in the locker room about what this means for their relationship. Basically, Rachel asks Finn to choose between football and her even after his description of a perfectly romantic gesture that he would be displaying at the game to let everyone know he loves her.

The next performance is an acoustic/a capella cover of "Toxic" (my personal favorite Britney song) at the homecoming assembly. This sends the student body into a "Britney Spears sex riot!" according to Sue. Following another historically inaccurate dramatic event, Sue says that she is going to sue Will for everything he has. Quinn goes up to Finn in the hall and tells him that because they are both popular again, they should get back together. We don't know that she isn't being serious and this whole thing was set up by Rachel in order to see how Finn feels about her, so I was freaking out the whole time. Much to my happiness, Finn gives Quinn this explanation that he will probably always have feelings for her but he is in love with Rachel and nothing is changing that.  After seeing this, Rachel does her performance of "The Only Exception" after giving a speech about how she was wrong to try and control Finn and that if their relationship is going to work, then they have to let each other follow their hearts and not try and control one another. In my opinion, that was the best part of the episode. Mainly because I ship Finchel hardcore and have been from the very beginning :)

Diagnosis: Avant-garde, yet wearable.

Preview Recaps

Hola! Today is Monday! That means episode preview recaps :{) To be honest, I only got to watch Glee and parts of OTH last week so those are the only two I'll be doing today.

Glee: This week is the Britney Spears episode! As far as the preview is concerned, this looks better than the Madonna episode from last season. They are doing "Toxic", "...Baby One More Time", "Oops!...I Did It Again", "Stronger", "I'm A Slave 4 U", "Me Against the Music" and "The Only Exception" (All Britney except "The Only Exception", which is Paramore.) Sue seems outraged by the fact that they are singing Britney, John Stamos will make his first appearance as Carl, Emma's dentist boyfriend and Britney will make a cameo in the episode in a anesthesia-induced dream sequence at the dentist's office.

OTH:  Clay is still in between life and death, Brooke is firing her mother and Mouth and Millie are more than likely going to be getting back together. I am happy about Mouth and Millie. They have been one of my favorite couples over the course of the series. I'm not sure what they are going to do with Clay's character. He has a star billing and a part in the show's opening credits which means that they won't kill him off (if they do) any time soon. I saw another preview that has Nathan asking about whether or not a kidney donor would be coming up soon and if not, that he would donate if he was a match. This would end his NBA career and then the basketball aspect of the show (one of the things that I love) would be out.

Because I don't have to work tomorrow, I will have time to catch up on all my shows so I should have more recaps up during this week.

Poll Fridays

Bonjola! See what I did there? I combined bonjour and hola. Get it? No. Okay maybe I just think it's funny.
Anyway, I have decided that I am going to do a poll on Fridays to close out the week. This week's is a little bit of a "How's My Driving" poll. I was going to add the nifty little poll gadget that Blogger offers, but it doesn't think that Monday at 2:20PM is a valid date and time so I'll just put it in here.

What do you think of this blog and my goals for it?

A) I don't use my brain, thus I have no opinions.
B) Meh. It's too early to tell.
C) I think that this blog has the potential to be marvelous!
D) Any other view that you may have.

Leave a comment with your answer. I'm looking forward to reading them!

So... Things may not go as planned.

Okay, I have to address this because it is bothering me. I do NOT have a DVR, therefore if I miss an episode, I missed it. Everything that I watch is on the Internet but I am finding myself with very little extra time between work and school and Hindi. I am going to talk to my boss about cutting my hours down to like Wednesdays and weekends because during the week it is too much. I don't need the money THAT bad. So until I either get a DVR or more free time, episode related posts may be a little behind. I have already missed the first 3 weeks of ANTM, the first 2 of OTH (Which is my favorite show), the season premiere of House and various other shows. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this will cause. I'm hoping that I can catch up a little over the weekend and on Monday.

"Audition" Overview (Glee)

Hello! So, the title of the Glee premiere is totally relevant. Not only is the club searching for new members, but the show itself is working to expand its fanbase. It auditioned, and to me it passed with flying colors. This first episode was not the hyped-up extravagent spectacle that I think some people were expecting. It was pretty grounded in its themes and the way the storylines were executed. Even though Rachel sending the new girl to a crack house, not an active one however, was a little overboard it fit her character. Now, on with the synopsis!

The beginning of the episode starts off in a TMZ fashion with Jacob Ben-Israel interviewing various glee members about topics that he has posted in his "blog". Ironically enough, most of them were real topics that have been talked about over the summer. "How do you respond to a post on my blog that you should quit rapping?" (@ Mr. Schue.) That was the best one in my opinion. Mostly because I also do not enjoy Mr. Schue rapping. After the little opening sequence, we find ourselves in Figgins' office with the new football coach, played by Dot Jones, Sue and Schue yelling at each other about budget cuts. Both the Cheerios and the glee club's budget got cut by 10% and the football team's was increased. This causes Sue and Schue to colaborate for most of the episode to try and overthrow Coach Beiste (pronounced beast, it's French).

Because Matt transferred to another school, New Directions is looking for new members in order to qualify for nationals (which are in NYC). In order to recruit new people, the club does a performance of Jay-z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind". This was fantastic. I am in love with this version of the song. I liked how the rap parts were spread out over Artie, Puck and Finn. During the performance the camera cuts to our two new characters. We meet Sunshine in the bathroom while Rachel is hanging up posters and thus ensues the Telephone battle! This was a fantastic part of the episode. I was blown away by how well Sunshine can sing. She has such a powerful voice for someone who is 18. Sam's character is introduced to us when Finn overhears him singing "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" in the locker room. He then auditions with "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy & Bruno Mars with the rest of the glee guys backing him up.

Artie thinks that being on the football team will give him a better shot of getting Tina back so he confronts Finn about helping him join the team. They present the idea to coach Bieste and she shoots them down. When Finn tries to convince her to let Artie on, she yells at him and kicks him off the team. This leads to Finn wanting to try out for the Cheerios so that he can maintain some sort of popularity. Thank God that storyline didn't follow through. That would've been extremely awkward.

In the end, Sunshine auditioned for the club with "Listen" from Dream Girls and was welcomed to the club, Sam didn't even come to try out because of what coach Beiste did to Finn for trying something different, Schue gave up on trying to destroy Beiste Finn and Rachel had a beautiful moment in which they decided never to break up and then Sunshine was stolen from New Directions by Vocal Adrenaline's new coach Dustin Goolsby, played by Cheyene Jackson.

Diagnosis: Marvelous! I thought this was a great first episode and I am looking forward to next week's Britney episode!!

Are You Ready GLEEks?!?!

Hello! Unless you've been living under a rock for the past two months, you should know that Glee starts tonight!! I am so excited for this season premiere. The amount of spoilers that have been released by Ryan Murphy and Fox has been enough to get us enthused yet keep us wondering about future story lines.

This season we will see Finn and Rachel in a relationship that lasts the whole season, Artie and Tina break up and she goes after Mike Chang (other Asian), Santana and Britney may be having some sort of relationship, Quinn and Santana are going to have a battle over being head Cheerio, there is a new football coach and John Stamos will be joining the cast for a while as Emma's dentist boyfriend. And that's hardly all of the information that has been released.

 Relationship News:

*The very first thing I mentioned is my absolute favorite. I am a HUGE Finnchel fan and for them to be together for longer than 2 1/2 episodes makes me smile. They are going to have to overcome the whole "I slept with Santana" thing, but how they come out of that will set the tone for the rest of their relationship.
*The whole Artie/Tina break-up came as a little bit of a shocker to me. I thought that RM woud just leave them together because they are adorable and don't really have major storylines. For him to add Mike to the mix will shake things up a bit and create this awkward love triangle that every good show needs.
*We still don't know what is going to be happening with Puck and Quinn. I'm not entirely sure that I want them to be together just because they had a baby. It's not like they kept it and are living together with said child; that would be interesting. Besides, I don't think Puck's character really evolved much out of his player ways. Maybe he'll hook up with the new girl.
*Kurt is getting a boyfriend! This makes me happy. According to RM, he will be a member of the football team who is vocally talented, neither of these things are obvious to other people. This relationship has so many possibilities that it would take me forever to write them all out.
*Obviously, Mr. Schue and Terri are divorced. Emma and Mr. Schue aren't together. Enter John Stamos as a dentist. Yet again, love triangle ensues.

New Characters:

Sunshine Corazon, played by Charice.
In this season she gives Rachel a run for her money as head diva of the club. I have already seen parts of the Telephone bathroom battle that goes on in tonight's episode. All I can say is AHH!! I am super pumped.

Sam, played by Chord Overstreet.
This guy is playing new glee member and Kurt's boyfriend. He is also the
new guy on the football team who is Finn's rival.
