November 30 through December 5

Glee: Sectionals this week! The club competes against the Dalton Academy Warblers (of which Kurt is now a member) and The Hipsters (old people who are trying to get their GED). Emma and Carl grow closer but some couples hit rough patches.

16&Pregnant: Christinna and her (maybe) baby daddy Isiah have drama over whether or not he is the father and being newlyweds.

OTH: Brooke and Julian go skydiving, while Haley sets up a concert at Tric featuring Kid Cudi. Meanwhile, Quinn sneaks out of town to visit a familiar face.

ANTM: It's finale time! Ann and Chelsey (my pick to win) face off in a Roberto Cavalli runway show.

*Soon, most of these shows will either be over or on hiatus so this may be a little empty in the coming weeks*

Aubrey (16&Pregnant) Overview

I actually felt a little sorry for this week's family in the making. They had good goals and hopes, but not a lot of ambition to get them accomplished. Aubrey and her baby daddy/husband live in Arizona and her parents are divorced so only her mom is around. She was having trouble keeping up in school so she dropped out. She and Brandon lived together on their own until he lost his job. They then moved in with her grandma because she was the only person who would take them in.

Because neither of them have jobs they are in debt and not really doing a whole lot to take care of it. Aubrey is trying to get on track to get her GED but since she has been out of school for so long, she isn't succeeding. Brandon finally gets a job as a mall security guard so they have a little bit of security themselves. Ha no pun intended. Aubry wants to help out and get a job as well, but Brandon would much rather her stay home and take care of their son. After 30 hours of labor, baby Austin Carter arrives. Though the family is excited, their grandma still wants them to move out soon.

Aubrey gets a job at a pizza place so now there are two incomes for the couple. They are currently working hard to get their own place and keep saving their money up. She feels like their relationship has grown stronger since the birth of their child. While Aubrey wishes she had stayed in school, she plans to start working hard to get her GED so she can go to college and help support their son.

Furt (Glee) Overview

Wedding bells are ringing! Burt and Carole are getting married! They told Finn in the middle of the hallway with Kurt in tow. Kurt takes it upon himself to plan out the whole thing and enlists New Directions to be the entertainment. Sue has also decided that she is going to marry herself. And officiate the ceremony. All at the same time. Yeah, I don't know how that's supposed to work either. Sam decided that he is in love with Quinn and gave her a promise ring. At first she didn't except, but he is waay too cute to say no to. But more on that later.

Sue's Nazi hunting mother returns home for her daughter's "wedding" and tries to make amends for being an absentee parent to both Sue and her sister, Jean. Sue attempts to reconcile, but Doris is continuously being critical to Sue. She eventually calls her a bully and disinvites her to the wedding while it is taking place.

Karofsky is still terrorizing Kurt so Rachel enlists the glee girls' football-playing boyfriends to confront him. Finn and Puck do not participate in said confrontation. Finn's reason is that he would like to continue winning football games and if Karofsky is mad at him, he'll get sacked on just about every play. Puck's is a little less self-centered in that he really doesn't want to go back to juvie. When Kurt and Karfsky (and their dads) meet with Sue to discuss the situation and the punishment, Sue says that the only thing that the school board can do is give him a verbal warning. Kurt is not satisfied with this and announces that he is going to transfer to Dalton Academy (where Blaine goes). Quinn is impressed with Sam's bravery and that is when she accepts his promise ring.

Finn is concerned with his dwindling popularity so Santana's tells him that he should just tell people about their secret (he lost his virginity to her back in season 1). He refuses to do so after learning that Rachel never slept with Jesse (also season 1) and telling her the truth would break her heart. At the wedding, He uses his best man speech to apologize to Kurt for not standing up for him. He vows that from now on, a new union has been formed, Furt (combo of their names), and that he will always be there for him.

Thanksgiving Week Previews

House: Science and faith are called into question when a patient is admitted to the hospital following his reenactment of the Crucifixion. The patient, Ramon Silva, refuses to undergo the prescribed treatment, and the team learns that after his daughter's cancer was cured, he pledged an oath of self-sacrifice to God. With little time to save Ramon's life, the team struggles to understand his reasoning and seemingly extreme religious convictions, but eventually learn that faith is not an argument.

Glee: Carole and Burt are getting married! Also, Sue's Nazi hunting mother returns home to pay a surprise visit to her daughter.

OTH: No new episode. But, they did get picked up for a full season!

ANTM: This week ANTM is doing a recap of all the most memorable moments so far this season. This is good for me since I have missed just about every episode due to work. Next week is the finale!

Friday Night Lights: I will also be home in time to watch this as well. I have to say, FNL is one of my favorite shows. Watching it reminds me how much I love the atmosphere that comes with a good football team and I hate that I have missed so much of it. There is no information anywhere on the web because it's exclusively on DirecTV right now. But, that means no commercials for me :)

I will actually be home in time to watch all of these so I will have a busy couple days posting their recaps. Thankfully, we break for the holidays tomorrow so I will have more time that I usually do.

The Substitute (Glee) Overview

Well in the spirit of flu season, both Figgins and Mr. Schue are both out. The most terrifying part about this is that Sue has been instated as the new principle. The lovely Gwenyth Paltrow is standing in for Schue as Spanish teacher and glee coach. We also see the re-appearance of Terri trying to win Schue back by nursing him back to health

Rachel is trying to take over the glee club in Mr. Schue's absence and Kurt is sick of it. Thus enter Holly Holiday as new glee coach. but not until after she was done talking about Lindsay Lohan and her numerous trips to rehab in Spanish. She changes things up a bit when she asks the kids what songs they want to sing. *Cue very rad performance of Cee Lo Green's "Forget You".*

Sue is using her power to try and disband the football team but after Beiste reminds her that her Cheerios won't have anyone to cheer for, she bans tater-tots instead. *Cut to Mr. Schue performing "Make 'Em Laugh" with Mike Chang in a dream sequence.*

Rachel is not in love with Holly and her teaching methods so she goes to voice her concers to Mr. Schue. Terri has said that she is moving on with her life but she is still trying to get back with Will. In his sickly state, they end up kissing and Terri thinks that it meant something when in reality, it was a mistake.

Kurt is setting Mercedes up on a date so that maybe she will forget about the lack of tots. But she doesnt want a lover, she wants tots. Aparently Rachel didnt hate Holly that much because they did a duet of "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag" from Chicago. *Love* Will returns to school but he is not completely healthy. And Sue fired Figgins! And Will! That leaves Sue as prnciple and Holly as Spanish/glee club teacher. This leads to a throwdown between Holly and Will about how the kids need to be able to express themselves through music.

Mercedes is in trouble for shoving tots up the tailpipe of Sue's Le Car. After careful consideration, Holly goes to visit Will to tell him that she is resigning. They talk about her "no consequences" lifesyle and how that makes her a bad choice as his replacement. Mercedes tags along on Kurt and Blaine's date and is relatively bored. Afterward, Kurt tells Mercedes that she is substituting food for love and Kurt for a boyfriend.

To close the episode, Mr. Schue wants to do a cover of "Singin' In The Rain". The kids are not thrilled with his song choice so he goes to Holly, who is subbing for a history teacher dressed up like Mary Lincoln, to help him modernize it. They end up putting it together with Rhianna's "Umbrella" and the performance was super cool.

Markai (16&Pregnant) Overview

This week's mom-to-be is Markai from Florida. She is 16 and is a senior (home schooled I think). Her whole story came about because she and her lover James didn't have protected sex even though they were educated. They have a good support system from their friends but not from her mom. But, it's totally understandable because she was a teen mom as well.

She has a weird craving for soap and for some reason she makes a lot of excess saliva. James is out on the job hunt but so far has been unsuccessful. They tried to secretly move James into Markai's house but her mom was against it.

After a while, James quit looking for a job and his ex-girlfriend has been trying to hook up with him on Myspace. (Really...who uses Myspace anymore?!) After a painful labor, Za'karia is born.

Markai has been talking with her dad, trying to find them a place to live but in the meantime, her mom had a change of heart and James is living with them. But once she finds out that he cheated on her in the beginning of their relationship, the mega fight ensues. And not just a verbal fight. After this, they declared that they were through. But it didn't last long because they reconciled realizing that they do love each other and have to work on their relationship for Za'karia. The main issue was a lack of trust and a lot of fear.

I am hoping that they can work this out because there is nothing I dislike more than the guys on this show that don't care about their child. You will be a part of that kids life whether you like it or not so you might as well have a good relationship. I'd say that we are now 2/4 on supportive baby daddies because I really feel like Daniel from last week was just a pain and not any help to her at all.

Wish you well,

November 15-19 Previews

House: After a 200-year-old medicine jar found on an off-shore shipwreck shatters in a teenage girl's palm, she is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro for symptoms closely linked to smallpox. When the Center for Disease Control's Dr. Dave Broda institutes a lockdown on the hospital and suspends House's team's ability to diagnose, Masters grows suspicious of Broda's motives and becomes convinced that the patient is suffering from a different disease. The girl's father soon experiences similar symptoms, and House is forced to make a precarious decision that puts his own life in jeopardy.

Glee: Gwenyth Paltrow makes a guest appearance as Holly Holiday when Mr. Schue takes a sick day.

OTH: Thanksgiving ep. The gang gathers at Nathan and Haley's house for the holiday.

16&Pregnant: Markai is our mom this week. From the looks of the preview, there are some serious trust issues going on.

ANTM: The final 4 girls meet one-on-one with Vogue Italia's editor-in-chief, Franca Sozzani and the girls are challenged to pose with emotion through movement. Double elimination this week!

Never Been Kissed (Glee) Overview

This episode had an interesting premise. The whole storyline revolved around the glee guys using mental images of coach Beiste in compromising positions to "cool off" whilst making out with their significant others. During one of said make out sessions with Quinn, Sam says Beiste's name which prompts her to think that they are having some sort of relationship. Sue tells Quinn to go public with the news as a double motive. A) to get Beiste fired (which is Sue's ultimate goal this season so far I think) and B) so that Sam will confess and he and Quinn can work it out.

Meanwhile the clubs competition has been announced for sectionals. The all-boys school Dalton Academy and a group of elderly people who are going back to school to get their GEDs. In continuation of the tradition, the boys vs. girls mash-up challenge commences with a little twist. The groups will be singing songs originally performed by groups of the opposite gender. Have to say the girls' was my favorite just because I love both of the songs they put together.

Kurt is getting sick of homophobic Karofsky so he goes to visit Dalton Academy where he meets Blaine, the very out, gay male lead of The Warblers (glee club). He gives him a little bit of inspiration to keep perservering through the bullying from Karofsky. When Kurt goes to confront Karofsky about it, Karofsky kisses him which leads us to believe that he is gay or at least questioning his sexual preferences. *Gasp* This leads to a confrontation by Kurt and Blaine and Karofsky just storms off.

After Mike confronts Beiste about "staying away from his woman" (after Tina said "Beiste" whilst making out with Mike), Beiste asks Will what is going on. After informing her, she quits and Sue's full cheerleading budget is restored. Will is horrified to receive this info from Sue so he goes to talk to Beiste about why she quit. She gives him this somewhat length-y speech about how she has never fit in because of the way she acts on the outside. That at the end of the day, she just wants to be reminded that she is a girl. And that she's never been kissed. *Cue pity/heartfelt kiss from Schue* and his sort-of tacky line, "Well now you've been kissed." The boys close the show with their mash-up and they dedicate it to Coach Beiste and winning her forgiveness.

Emily (16&Pregnant)

I have to say, I didn't watch all of this episode. Partially because I was sleepy and partially because I was extremely bored. Her baby daddy, Daniel, was like THE most self-centered person ever. He didn't think that he needed to help her with baby Liam because he lived an hour away. He assumed that because he was getting a scholarship to The University of Alabama at Huntsville, that she will follow and they will live in an apartment on campus together. He didn't really give her a whole lot of options about anything concerning her future. She was going to fail due to attendance so she withdrew and started homeschooling. After baby Liam was born her grades suffered even more and she will no longer be able to graduate on time. That seems to be a re-occurring theme this season. Nevertheless, I don't think that she should stay with Daniel. He doesn't really do a whole lot to support them and is very controlling. Very bad combination.

Luck be a Lady (OTH) Overview

Finally I get to watch an episode! I have missed just about all of them so far this year. So here's a little bit of catch up:
Haley is pregnant!
Nathan retired
Brooke and Julian are getting married
Quinn and Clay almost died but they are alive now.

And now, this episode!

Brooke and Julian's mom, Sylvia, are going to the annual Tree Hill Bridal Expo to gather ideas for Brooke's wedding. Turns out Sylvia and her have nothing in common in terms of taste and so Brooke called Haley to try and second her opinions. This also backfires because of Haley's pregnancy hormones and Brooke ends up taking a drunk Sylvia home from the expo.

Julian is on the hunt for a best man and his idea of male bonding comes in the form of a poker night at Nathan's house. This also turns out horribly wrong. Mostly because everyone loses their money to Julian because Alex (who left for a while then came back to apologize to Chase. He didn't want anything to do with her so she came up with the master plan of being the dealer so they could spend some time together. And that backfired too) stacked the deck so that Julian would win every time.

Nathan is now working as an agent for Clay's company and his first order of business was to go to Atlanta to sign the Falcons' QB who recently fired his agents. Initially after meeting with the teams publicist, he feels like he has messed it up completely and is mad at Clay for sending hi to Atlanta without any knowledge of the business. Turns out he didn't need it because the QB signed with them.

Skills came home for a little pre-wedding visit and for some reason he brought a mannequin that looks like Lucas with him. He and Mouth talk about their lives and how Mouth and Millie have stopped trying to get back together.

Haley and Mia are working on singing a new act for the label.  They both want to sign Erin from the open-mic night but when Haley asks her about it, she hangs up. (Erin is a client of Haley's) But, at the end of the episode, Erin shows up at Red Bedroom and asks Haley whether or not she actually liked her music. Haley says yes and later receives a call from Erin saying that she will be coming in to the studio tomorrow.

Felicia (16&Pregnant) Overview

Our teen mom this week was Felicia from Texas. Her and her boyfriend Alex live with her mom and grandma. Alex doesn't really like her mom so he is always out with his friends instead of at home with Felicia. To avoid unwanted drama between Alex and her mom, they moved out and went to her sister's house. Even though there isn't any drama, Alex still isn't staying home with Felicia.

After being 4 days over her due date, the doctors induced her. Even in labor, Alex was not understanding of the pain she was in. After 10 hours of labor, Genesis Alexa was born. But, not even an hour later, Alex left to go "change" and never returned. This prompted Felicia to move back ion with her mother.

Alex spend more money on himself than he does on their baby and isn't helpful at all. Felicia is still able to graduate on time but she has to work really hard to make up the 6 weeks of work she missed.

At the end of the episode, Felicia confronted Alex about the lack of help she is receiving from him and that she could really care less about whether or not they are together but he is missing out on being a part of his daughter's life. Alex didn't have a whole lot to say other than, "I don't really care if I'm with you either" and walked away. Talk about dead beat. That makes us 1/2 on supportive baby papas this season.

November 1-5 Overview

House: No new episode due to the World Series Game 5.

Glee: No New episode. Why? I don't know either.

OTH: Finally a new episode! Julian's mom shows up to help Brooke plan the wedding and it just turns into a hot mess. Nathan is struggling with his new job (which I don't know what it's supposed to be) and Haley's counseling abilities are challenged. Skills comes home with a new friend from LA and Julian is on the hunt for a best man. I'm so happy! I don't have to work tonight so I'll actually get to watch this!

16&Pregnant: Our mom-to-be this week is Felicia. From the looks of it, this will be a more interesting episode than last week. She has a lot of pressure put on her by her mom to do well in school because no one in her family has graduated from high school. Baby daddy's name is Alex and he doesn't look like he cares a whole lot about either one of them.

ANTM: The girls are on the move to Italy! Upon arrival they will do a photo shoot on gondolas and visit their first Italian Fashion House, Missoni.

Friday Night Lights: Coach finds out not everyone is pleased by the Lions' strong showing in the season opener; Vince's newfound football stardom comes with perks; Luke faces consequences for his aggressive play.

The Rocky Horror Glee Show Overview

I have been having a unusually hard time writing this re-cap so I thought I'd just let FOX do it for me.

Brooke (16&Pregnant) Overview

So I thought that this was a pretty boring episode to open up with. Halfway through I was just thinking to myself, "please get off the screen, your life is so boring". Brooke and her fiance Cody have been together for 10 years (yeah, okay) and got engaged when she found out she was pregnant. They both love to go to the track and race but that won't be happening much longer. About 10 minutes in to the episode, they got married in a smallish wedding and all the men in the bridal party wore racing suits. Not going to voice my opinion on that. That'd take up a whole entire post.

Because they are married now, they are not going to receive any financial aid from their parents and will be doing all the cleaning instead of paying rent until they move out. And even when they do move out, they aren't even going to be living in a house. They are going to buy a pre-fabricated barn that is small enough for them to put on her parents property. Talk about class.

The main arguments that they got into were all about Cody's lack of ability to pass a test that would determine whether or not he would graduate early. He eventually passed so now he will be able to stay home with little Brody when he is born. I think Brody is kind of cute. It's a good combo of Brooke and Cody. Usually when people combine their names to name their children, it turns out horribly wrong. I guess at least Cody was supportive. He didn't run off and leave her and her baby to figure it out for themselves. Which is more than I can say for most of the dads last season.

Wish you well,

Finale pt. 2 (Project Runway) Overview

This is it! The finale of season 8. The episode opened up with a reunion of sorts. The whole cast got together with the judges to talk about the season and they showed little overviews of the finalists and their journeys this season. As their last little challenge, each designer had to eliminate one look from their collections. Jessica Simpson was the guest judge.

Andy's collection was relatively bland. The main colors were silver and a lime green and all the girls were wearing these wire head pieces with stars on them. I had no idea what purpose they served other than to make the looks futuristic. Which didn't really happen.

Gretchen's collection was less pop of color and more neutrals with a touch of green or red every now and then. Most of the prints she used were kind of tribal/giraffe. The whole feel of the collection was relaxed and I also picked up a bit of safari from it. It was more interesting than Andy's but it wasn't my favorite.

Mondo. I loved his collection so much. The colors were so bright and the patterns were so vivid. This is what putting on a show is all about. The best part is that most of the pieces were actually wearable. Most of the ensembles weren't, but the pieces alone were. The only thing I wasn't totally in love with were the head pieces. They were big flowers combined with some feathers and the looks didn't really need them. I loved his whole DotD/circus concept. It was very prominent in the designs.

But, I'm not a judge. If I was Mondo would've totally won. After a very split decision the judges announced that Gretchen was the winner of season 8. Mondo was second and Andy was third. As always, you can see photos of all the looks at mylifetime.com.
